The Cabinet, at its first meeting after reshuffle, discusses the government’s program and mechanisms of implementation through a set timetable. Prime Minister Essam Sharaf reviews directives of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which include 17 missions.
The cabinet decided to set aside who used to be members of the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP) from any leading post in the state.
In the meantime, Media Advisor Ahmed al-Samman said that Justice Minister Mohamed Abdul-Aziz al-Gindi will introduce Sharaf with important amendments in the treachery law as well as, report on the killing of protesters.
Al-Samman added that Essam Sharaf also assigned the minister of local development to prepare a draft law for local councils and appoint new governors.
